Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan visits the governor

On Friday, June 27, H.E. Mr. Wasantha Karannagoda, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Japan, paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.

At the meeting, the governor once again conveyed gratitude to Sri Lanka saying, "With last year being the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, Tokyo's Tama Zoological Park was honored to receive two Sri Lankan elephants to mark the occasion. The children of Tokyo are also delighted about this precious gift!" On the topic of the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Governor said, "I want to make these Games the best ever. I truly hope that many from Sri Lanka will attend."
