The Mayor of Los Angeles visits the governor

On Wednesday, November 26, the Honorable Eric Garcetti, Mayor of Los Angeles, paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.

At the meeting, the governor said, "Since there are many people of Japanese descent in Los Angeles, as well as many Japanese companies that have expanded into the United States doing business there, Los Angeles and Japan have a very good relationship. I remember the Los Angeles 1984 Olympics very well, and I believe the 1984 Games prompted a change in the overall presentation of the Olympic Games. I definitely want Tokyo to have a close relationship with Los Angeles."
