On Tuesday, October 6, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, Dato' Ahmad Izlan bin Idris, paid a courtesy call on Governor Masuzoe.

At the meeting, the governor spoke about the underground sewerage project in the Langat region that uses Tokyo’s advanced wastewater technology and continuing support for Malaysia. The Langat project is featured in the Tokyo Tech Book, a compilation of technologies and expertise held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The governor went on to say, “The number of tourists from Malaysia is increasing and we are very pleased to have them. We hope that more visitors will come to Tokyo from Malaysia. And, we look forward to welcoming all of the Malaysian athletes and supporters to the Tokyo 2020 Games!”
