Team name and uniform for Tokyo tourism volunteers released
Tourist information guidance service starts in Shinjuku and Ueno
On June 19, tourism volunteers will start actively greeting overseas visitors in the streets of Shinjuku and Ueno and hand out multilingual tourist information. This street tourist guidance program will be gradually extended to other areas of Tokyo frequented by overseas visitors.
In time for the kick-off, a team name and uniform were selected to give the volunteers a sense of unity as a team. Please keep an eye out for the undertakings of these tourism volunteers.

The times will be different on the kick-off date due to a planned special event.
Around the West Entrance of Shinjuku Station and around Ueno Station (for FY 2015)
The program will be gradually extended to other areas of Tokyo frequented by overseas visitors in 2016 and beyond.
Pairs of volunteers will circulate around the streets and greet overseas visitors. They provide various tourist information as well as directions in multiple languages.

The team name was selected from 882 entries from the general public
Tamaki Fujie designed polo shirts, hats, and bags. She was selected through a contest of young, up-and-coming designers supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
