Governor's Comments on the Missile Launch by North Korea

Today, February 7, North Korea recklessly carried out a missile launch in clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions.
North Korea has continued to take provocative actions, including carrying out repeated missile launches and a nuclear test on January 6, fueling tensions within the international community which seeks peace and security. This missile launch is an atrocious act, and is totally unacceptable. We seriously protest this action.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will continue to work closely with the central government to strengthen crisis management capabilities, in order to protect the lives and assets of the citizens of Tokyo.
