New types of solar-powered public chargers at Starbucks

The Tokyo Metropolitan Center for Climate Change Actions is engaging in activities to raise public awareness of renewable energy with the aim to make Tokyo a smart energy city.

In partnership with Starbucks Coffee Japan, Ltd., as a model case, the center is establishing new types of solar-powered public charging stations (called "City Charge") that are movable and can be easily introduced to stores and other facilities.

※The Tokyo Metropolitan Center for Climate Change Actions is an organization under the Tokyo Environmental Public Service Corporation designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to undertake activities to raise public awareness based on the "Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures."
