The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has developed promotional brochures in three languages to publicize the diverse attractions of Tokyo’s Tama area and islands. The brochures are mainly targeted at travel agencies catering to people from five areas in Asia regions from which many tourists, including many repeat visitors, come to Japan. This is part of TMG efforts to boost PR activities through various channels to attract more foreign travelers to the countryside of Tokyo as we approach 2020.
[Covers of the brochure]
The brochures introduce the attractions of the western part of the Tama area and Tokyo’s islands grouped into five categories. Each brochure contains information on both the islands and the Tama area.
