Tokyo PR Videos Using "Tokyo Tokyo Old meets New"

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has been engaging in efforts to effectively convey the city's attractions overseas using the "Tokyo Tokyo Old meets New" logo and slogan and has now produced PR videos targeting the global audience.

Tokyo PR Videos

  • Two PR videos: "EXCITING Edition" and "UNIQUE Edition" (each 30 seconds long)
  • The excitement of Tokyo where "tradition" and "innovation" meet to generate new attractions is expressed by juxtaposing the "old" and "new" on the screen.
  • Broadcasts
    • Aired as commercials on CNN International (from October 23, 2017)
      * Commercials on National Geographic Channel, CBS, and CNN USA are also scheduled.
    • It is also planned to show them on digital signage in and outside the TMG building and to use them in overseas promotional activities such as tourism expos.

PR Video with Governor Koike

  • A video with Governor Koike introducing Tokyo's attractions where "tradition" and "innovation" converge was produced.
  • This PR video will be used at tourism expos and other occasions overseas to promote Tokyo.
