Office of the Governor for Policy Planning
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) will hold “STARTUP TOKYO SEMINAR 2018” on Monday, May 28, 2018.
This Seminar allows entrepreneurs considering the establishment of their business in Tokyo to learn about the attractiveness of Tokyo’s market and TMG’s supports.
Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike is scheduled to give a speech on Tokyo’s attractiveness, and experienced entrepreneurs who have started their business in Tokyo are going to speak about their experiences.
After the seminar, participants can enjoy a networking event with experienced entrepreneurs or try free consultation services of Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center (TOSBEC).

The Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center (TOSBEC) centralizes the procedures that foreign companies and start-ups need to complete to establish a business. This is the first such initiative in Japan, which was realized by employing the National Strategic Special Zone system. Through personalized services provided by experts and staff knowledgeable in administrative procedures, the center helps facilitate the prompt completion of various filing procedures required when establish a business and launching operations, including those for certification of articles of incorporation, company registration, taxes, social security, and immigration. On request, the center will also provide support for electronic applications as well as interpretation and translation services in several languages.
