Suspension of accommodation tax during the Tokyo 2020 Games

In line with the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, accommodation tax levied on all guests staying in Tokyo will be suspended during the three months from July 1 to September 30, 2020.
A bill to amend the Ordinance on the Accommodation Tax is scheduled to be submitted to the second regular session of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly in 2018.

• Between 10,000 yen and 14,999 yen: 100 yen
• 15,000 yen or more: 200 yen
