Tokyo is one of the world’s leading global cities where approximately 13 million people (equal in number to its population) visit from around the world and approximately 540 thousand foreigners live.
It is our wish that everyone living in Tokyo, regardless of its nationality, keep in mind of how to prepare against and cope with possible disasters for protecting lives.
In this symposium, together with specialists, the Governor of Tokyo discusses what are necessary for the foreign residents in Tokyo to protect their own lives and help each other and for Japanese citizens to cope with the disaster together with people with different cultural backgrounds. Please take this opportunity to think about disaster prevention of Tokyo where Japanese and foreigners can sympathize with and help each other. Your participation is welcome.
Three panelists and Governor Koike hold a serious discussion on disaster prevention.
