TMG to Hold Promotional Event for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 and the host city Tokyo in Paris, France: “Tokyo Days in Paris - See You in Tokyo in 2020!”

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG), in partnership with The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020), will hold the “Tokyo Days in Paris - See you in Tokyo in 2020!” event to promote the Tokyo 2020 Games and the host city Tokyo in the city of Paris, which is set to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024. Details of the event are as follows:

1 Name

Tokyo Days in Paris - See You in Tokyo in 2020!

2 Objective

To promote the Tokyo 2020 Games and the host city Tokyo in Paris - the host of the Paris 2024 Games-by appealing to the people of Paris and international travelers in the city through event booths, panel displays, stage events and more.

Daily 11:00 am - 7:00 pm (local time in Paris)

At the Forum des Halles “PATIO” (floor B3) and the “RER Concourse”, Les Halles Station (floor B4), the materials below related to the Tokyo 2020 Games and the host city Tokyo will be on display. (Contents of the exhibits are subject to change depending on the display location)

Tokyo 2020 Official Mascots

Stuffed toys and panel displays of the Tokyo 2020 Games mascots will be on display. Visitors can take pictures together with the mascots while wearing a happi (traditional Japanese straight-sleeved coat) featuring the Tokyo 2020 Games design.

Promotion of Tokyo’s Logo and Slogan

“Tokyo Tokyo Old meets New” is a logo and slogan created to effectively promote the appeal of Tokyo. By utilising display panels and videos, this exhibit will promote the attractiveness of the city itself.

The Tokyo Omiyage Project -Tokyo Souvenir-

Tokyo souvenirs, produced and developed in partnership with private businesses in Tokyo, will be on display.

Edo-Tokyo Kirari Project

The “Edo-Tokyo Kirari Project” aims to promote the value and appeal of traditional Edo-Tokyo crafting techniques, as well as products from long-established businesses, with a renewed vision for them as brands that represent Tokyo. For this model project, items from selected craftspeople will be on display.
