TMG to Hold Promotional Exhibits of Rugby World Cup 2019TM and Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 at “Yurakucho Infos”

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) will hold promotional exhibits and orientation events at Yurakucho Infos, near JR Yurakucho Station until Tuesday 11 December. The purpose is to help spread excitement and deliver up-to-date information about the Rugby World Cup 2019TM and the Tokyo 2020 Games.

(1) Rugby World Cup 2019TM Exhibit

Exhibit Content

  • Panel displays and promotional movies of RWC 2019.
  • A huge rugby ball monument will be on display to boost excitement for hosting RWC 2019 in Japan.

(2) Tokyo 2020 Games Exhibit

Exhibit Content

  • Promotional booth for the recruitment of City Volunteers
  • City Volunteers application desk
  • Stuffed toys and panels of Tokyo 2020 Mascots will be on display for visitors to take pictures with.

Note) Registration for the 1st to the 3rd orientation sessions has closed as the sessions have reached capacity. The dates of additional sessions will be announced on the “Volunteerism Navigation Website” (Link above).

(2) 2020 TDM Promotion Project Orientation Session

Content

TDM: Travel Demand Management

  • Explains the Traffic and Transport situation during the Tokyo 2020 Games, targeting private companies and organisations
  • Consultation booth will be set up to handle for inquiries
  • Social insurance specialists and logistics consultants will assist with inquiries on TDM measures that fit the needs of companies and establishing internal company systems to implement such measures.

Rugby World Cup 2019TM, Japan will be held from 20 September to 2 November 2019 at a total of 12 venues throughout Japan. In Tokyo, Tokyo Stadium (Ajinomoto Stadium) will host a total of 8 matches, including the opening ceremony and first of the tournament (Japan vs. Russia) on 20 September.
