Bureau of Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 Preparation

Tokyo Metropolitan Government is pleased to announce that a documentary film of the Tokyo 1964 Paralympic Games has been released via its official video channel, “Tokyo Douga”. We hope that many citizens of Tokyo and citizens across Japan will enjoy watching this film. The film was released on 8 November 2019, exactly 55 years on from the Games’ opening ceremony.
The 1964 Tokyo Paralympics -- “A Song for Social Rehabilitation”
The film is a precious footage of the 5-day long Paralympic games, documenting the opening ceremony, held at Yoyogi Park Athletic Track Field (known as Oda Field) on 8 November 1964, as well as various sports events, the athlete’s village, cafeteria and the closing ceremony.
