The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is pleased to announce the release of its FY2022 Activities Plans for Tokyo Metropolitan Sports Facilities that served as new permanent venues for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. The FY2022 Activities Plans summarise the outline and year-round schedule of each facility.
Starting with Yumenoshima Park Archery Field, which reopened in October 2021, Sea Forest Waterway, Oi Central Seaside Park Hockey Stadium, Canoe Slalom Centre and Ariake Arena will reopen sequentially for public use in FY2022.
After the reopening, each facility will host a number of major sports competitions and provide opportunities for people to experience sports.
We will continue to develop a variety of programs at each of our facilities and work toward realising a “Sports Field Tokyo” where sports are integrated into daily life.
The activities plans and other information will be released for the following facilities scheduled to reopen in FY2022.
