Asia's first comprehensive international conference will use the power of culture to connect people of all kinds, to realize a symbiotic society based on art and culture!

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture are pleased to announce that a comprehensive international conference, “International Conference on Open Access to Culture," will be held as a legacy of the Paralympic Games.

June 28 (Tuesday) to July 7 (Thursday), 2022

Venue

Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Takenodai Square (Fountain Square) in Ueno Onshi Park, LIFULL Fab

Programs

(1)International Conference

Lectures and discussions will be held on common international issues such as inclusion and diversity.

(2)Showcases

A performance by the “Tokyo Field of Expression Club,” an exhibition of works which allows visitors to experience sound that has been converted into vibration, as well as a demonstration of an avatar robot currently being developed by universities and private companies.

(3)Networking

NPOs and other organizations, creators, etc. from participating cities will introduce their activities and promote exchanges among arts and cultural organizations, social welfare organizations, universities, businesses, etc.

(4)Intensive Short-term Camp

Workshops will be held with creators and others engaged in progressive activities as instructors, and participants selected from the public will produce musical instruments that can be enjoyed by people with and without disabilities.
