Bureau of Citizens, Culture and Sports
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has designated August and September, the months when the Tokyo Paralympics were held, as “Tokyo Parasports Month,” and will hold parasports experiences and exhibitions in various parts of the city.
On Thursday, August 24, the day the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games started, parasports experiences and competition demonstrations by athletes will be held mainly in Citizen’s Plaza, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building will lit up with the colors of the three agitos (red, blue, and green) for one day only!
We will also be carrying out various initiatives, so we look forward to your participation!

Appearance by young athletes who will lead the next generation of wheelchair basketball and blind soccer. Together with top athletes, they will introduce the appeal of parasports and the fun of taking on the challenge of infinite possibilities.

Get up close and personal with the exhibition matches, dance performances and talk events held in the main arena! (Approx. first 1,000 people)
Applications will be stopped as soon as the capacity is reached on a first-come, first-served basis.
