The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has designated the months of August and September, the months when the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games were held, as Tokyo Parasports Month. To promote parasports, during this period, opportunities to encounter and experience parasports will be provided in various locations in Tokyo, including shopping malls and office buildings.
Tokyo Parasports Month is an initiative to promote parasports to a wide audience centered on three events to be held simultaneously..
This initiative will offer various parasport experiences and exhibitions at commercial facilities and other venues throughout Tokyo. This year, a white cane experience and a wheelchair shopping experience will also be available. No prior application is required, and participation is free of charge. Please feel free to drop by!

※The Racing Wheelchair Tryout is an original event where participants compete in racing wheelchairs on a predetermined course for the times. Join us and aim high!

This initiative will display parasports panels and equipment in the lobbies of office buildings and other locations to bring parasports to the attention of businesspeople and office users. This year, ten companies have endorsed the purpose of Tokyo Parasports Month and will join in.

This event concludes the Tokyo Parasport Month. There will be
demonstrations by para athletes, various sports experiences, and
exhibitions all in one place.

This project is part of the Favorite Sport Project.
As Tokyo will host the World Athletics Championships and Deaflympics in 2025, this initiative aims to create opportunities for Tokyoites to explore and discover their favorite sports, i.e., sports to their liking.
