The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is carrying out a wide range of initiatives, making use of the National Strategic Special Zones, with the goal of making Tokyo the easiest place to do business globally, enhancing Japan’s international industrial competitiveness by gathering people, goods, finance and information from around the world, and founding a center of global economic activity.

The Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center (Akasaka) consolidates the procedures required to form a corporate entity into a single location to promote the founding of foreign companies and ventures, and since April 2015 it has been providing services such as support for applications creation and reception. Additionally, in April 2017, the Shibuya Satellite Center was opened, and The Marunouchi Satellite Center was opened in July of the same year.

From April 2018, the Shibuya Satellite Center will be relocating to a private business establishment support facility in Dogenzaka, Shibuya. The Center will strive to provide even more comprehensive services through collaboration with private business partners.
