Establishment of a Facility Management Plan for the Tokyo Metropolitan Parasports Training Center

In order to utilise the facility as a training center for parasports, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has made the decision to develop the Ajinomoto Stadium indoor facilities into the “Tokyo Metropolitan Parasports Training Center”
The facility management plan for the Tokyo Metropolitan Parasports Training Center will be implemented as follows.

Main Points of the Plan

(1) Basic policy for facility management

  • Space for improving parasports competitiveness
  • Space for promoting the spread of parasports, making them more familiar to people with and without impairments

(2) Main spaces and usage for the facility

Gymnasium: Used for practice sessions held by sports federations, teams, etc. and parasports classes 
Training room: Used for training purposes by athletes and other individuals

(3) Operation management

Management of operations by designated facility operator

(4) Expected annual users

A total of approximately 34,000 users per year is anticipated

(5) Future schedule (tentative)

Opening in March 2023
