1. Tokyo Metropolitan Government X Account  Structure and Management

  • The Tokyo Metropolitan Government X accounts （“TMG accounts”） comprises the following 18 accounts.

    2. TMG Disaster Prevention Information
    3. TMG Life & Housing
    4. TMG Health & Medical Care
    5. TMG Elderly & Welfare Services
    6. TMG Children & Education
    7. TMG Sports
    8. TMG Culture & Arts
    9. TMG Environment & Nature
    10. TMG Tourism
    11. TMG Industry & Employment
    12. TMG Digital & Cutting-Edge Technology
    13. TMG Infrastructure & Urban Development
    14. TMG Waterworks & Sewerage
    15. TMG Toei Transportation
    16. TMG Administration and Finance
    17. TMG Islands
    18. Tokyo Gov （account for sharing information in English to global audiences）
  • TMG accounts are operated by the Strategic Public Relations Division, Office of the Governor for Policy Planning （“the Division”） and each TMG department shall post on the respective accounts according to the content of the submission. Please refer to the “X Account Summary” provided in the attached document for a summary of each account.
  • Additionally, there are accounts for organizations such as the Metropolitan Police Department, Tokyo Fire Department, Metropolitan Schools, and policy collaborative organizations. Individual account policies have been established for each account.

2. TMG Accounts’ Operational Policy

  • Various TMG departments and contractors will post information related to metropolitan policies on TMG accounts. Relevant information deemed important to widely spread to Tokyo residents will also be reposted or quoted, as necessary.
  • TMG is not involved with the posts by other accounts that TMG accounts repost or quote.
  • TMG accounts will follow national government, local government, or highly public institution accounts as needed.
  • Following （or unfollowing） an account does not signify any stance towards the account by TMG.
  • TMG accounts will not respond to replies to posts or direct messages, except for those deemed necessary for project management.

3. Important Notices

Replies may be hidden or accounts may be blocked without prior notice if replies or direct messages made to TMG accounts contain any of the following content.
TMG may report to X Corp. as needed.

  1. Content that violates or is likely to violate laws and regulations
  2. Content that defames specific individuals, organizations, etc.
  3. Content made for political or religious purposes
  4. Content that infringe on copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights, and other intellectual property rights owned by the TMG or a third party
  5. Content made for advertisement, promotion, solicitation, commercial and other profit-making activities
  6. Content that discriminates or encourages discrimination by race, ideologies, or beliefs
  7. Content that is against public order and morals
  8. Content that is false or factually inaccurate
  9. Content that infringes on one’s privacy by posting an individual’s personal information without their consent
  10. Content that uses, spreads, or is likely to use or spread harmful computer programs
  11. Content made to link to websites containing the above （1） to （10）
  12. Other content the Division deems inappropriate.
