Nagatomo reports on World Cup

On December 22, Nagatomo Yuto, who advanced to the final tournament of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and met with Governor Koike. Mr. Nagatomo said, “Thank you very much for your support for the World Cup. We were able to fight with all our might to the very end. I think we showed we would never give up. I would like to continue to make Japanese soccer more exciting into the future.”
Governor Koike thanked him, saying, “It was an amazing fight. I felt that Mr. Nagatomo led the team.”
During the meeting, Mr. Nagatomo presented the Governor with a uniform of FC Tokyo, the professional soccer team in the J-League to which he belongs, and the Japanese national team.
